Prosecutor says Rosneft CEO to testify in Ulyukayev case Thu
MOSCOW, Apr 12 (PRIME) -- Russian oil company Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin has arrived at the court to testify in the former Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev’s bribery case, the non-public testimony is planned for Thursday, according to information obtained by PRIME at the Moscow City Court.
In December 2017, the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow found Ulyukayev guilty of receiving a U.S. $2 million bribe for a positive outlook on privatization of oil company Bashneft by Rosneft. Ulyukayev was sentenced to eight years in prison and a 130 million ruble fine.
Ulyukayev pleaded not guilty and said it was a setup organized by Sechin and the Federal Security Service.
